CNC MachinistLocation: Jacksonville, FLShift: 1st Shift (5 AM - 3:30 PM) or 2nd Shift (3:30 PM - 2:00 AM) OR Weekend Shift (5 am -5 pm) Fri-SunSchedule: Monday-Friday, Overtime as RequiredPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced General Machinist III to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment to produce high-precision metal components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC setup, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and troubleshooting machining processes in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools, including mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.Perform machine setups, tooling changes, fixture installations, and program verification.Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.Determine machining methods, setup requirements, and production sequences to achieve precise specifications.Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.Calculate and adjust machine settings, including speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and cutting depths.Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, workholding, materials, and machine performance.Make minor CNC program edits and verify program accuracy as needed.Operate vertical and horizontal machining centers, including Haas and FANUC-controlled equipment.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and productivity.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience setting up and operating CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal mills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements.Working knowledge of G-code and CNC program modifications.Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.High school diploma or GED required.Technical machining training or vocational education preferred.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
