They integrate feedback from manufacturing, supply chain, reliability, and industrial design reviews to optimize hardware performance. Beyond initial design, they provide end-to-end technical support throughout the system's manufacturing lifecycle.Electrical Focus: Directs the development of complex electrical systems and circuits. This includes overseeing the transition from research and schematic capture to rigorous simulation, validation, and system qualification.Mechanical Focus: Manages the design and maintenance of mechanical systems and modules. They leverage 3D modeling and advanced simulations to validate concepts, ensuring all mechanical solutions meet stringent performance and reliability standards.#HPS-NADetailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects, involving multiple domains. Participate in project planning and schedulingServe as a technical expert and leader to the teamEngage with customers and suppliers on and product roadmaps and supportReview and interpret customer requirements/specifications and may act as primary customer contractAnalyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutionsDevelop and lead the deployment of strategic complex programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.May manage relationships with key vendors/partners.Research systems ideas and will draw up plans for these systemsDesign, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.Create designs in line with Celesticas procedures, regulations and customer standardsKeep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulationsLiaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.Recommend system modificationsSet yearly plans and goals for the department, give direction on expected performance, provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback. Accountable for all department objectives and achieving agreed targets for key performance indicators.Knowledge/Skills/CompetenciesProficient in all compute hardware architectures including datacenter, telecommunication, enterprise and service provider.
