Postpartum Nurse - High-Risk Obstetrics

Schedule
- Float required to other campuses and units.
- Weekend work: 6 weekend days per contract.
- Holiday commitment: Must work 3 of the following 5 holidays - Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years postpartum / high-acuity obstetrics experience required.
- EPIC experience is required.
- Certifications: BLS, NRP.
- Key skills: High-risk OB/postpartum care, magnesium sulfate therapy, postpartum hemorrhage management, Pitocin administration, Foley care, newborn/postpartum assessments, vaginal and C-section experience.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide care for high-risk obstetric patients and postpartum recovery.
- Monitor and assess patients for postpartum complications and newborn care.
- Administer medications, such as magnesium sulfate and Pitocin, to manage patient conditions.
- Support patients in postpartum recovery, including wound care and education on newborn care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient support.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 254 hours.
- Pre-approved time off: one request must be made upfront.
- Background check policy: Facility does not accept specific background hits.
- References: Two references covering one year (within the last 3 years) required during compliance.
- Compact license must be in hand at submission.
