Data Sourcing Analyst

Immediate need for a talented Data Sourcing Analyst. This is 12 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is location in Phoenix, AZ(Onsite). Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Must have skills: - Regulatory Reporting, Source-to-Target(S2T) Mapping, SQL 6 years of experience in data sourcing, financial data analysis, or regulatory reporting within large banking or financial services organizations. Regulatory Reporting Expertise: Strong knowledge of US regulatory reports including Basel, Y-9C, 2052a, and Call Reports, with hands‑on experience supporting data sourcing and reporting requirements. Data Sourcing & Profiling: Proven ability to identify critical data elements across enterprise data warehouses, profile large datasets, assess data quality, and resolve missing or inconsistent attributes. SQL and BigQuery Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills to query, validate, and reconcile data across platforms, with experience using Google BigQuery or comparable cloud analytics tools. Source-to-Target(S2T) Mapping Documentation: Experience creating clear S2T mapping documentation, including transformation logic, lineage, data hops, and defaulting approaches aligned to regulatory reporting needs. AI-Enabled Productivity: Data literacy for AI use cases, effective prompt engineering for research and documentation, experience partnering with analytics teams, and the ability to identify automation opportunities across sourcing, validation, and reporting workflows. Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong partnership skills across finance, product owners, technology, data stewards, and governance teams to validate sourcing decisions, drive approvals, and document outcomes. Controls, Governance & AI Readiness: Understanding of data controls, validation rules, audit readiness, and AI governance principles, including model risk and responsible use considerations in regulated environments. Documentation and Communication: Ability to clearly document data sourcing logic, assumptions, and business rules. Strong written and verbal communication skills for walkthroughs and stakeholder updates.
