About the Role:

As a Medical Record Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining and processing patient medical records in accordance with federal and state regulations. This includes reviewing, updating, and correcting records, as well as preparing and distributing reports and documents. You will also assist with document scanning and filing, ensuring that all records are accurately indexed and easily retrievable.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and process patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Update and correct records, making necessary changes and annotations
Prepare and distribute reports and documents, as needed
Assist with document scanning and filing, ensuring easy retrieval
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with healthcare team members to resolve record-related issues

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
0 years of experience in medical record-keeping or a related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Familiarity with medical record-keeping systems and regulations (training provided)
