CNC Lathe Setup Operator

Location: North Phoenix, AZ — Onsite

Reports To: Production Manager

Position Overview

Axian Technology is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Operator to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position within our Doosan lathe machining department, responsible for machine setup, production runs, and ensuring parts meet strict aerospace quality standards.

We are looking for a dependable, skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work and can work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate modern CNC Doosan lathes for production runs.

• Read and interpret customer blueprints and technical drawings.

• Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.

• Make necessary offsets and adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.

• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Work with the Production Manager and team to meet production and quality goals.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience setting up CNC lathes; Doosan machining experience preferred.

• Prior experience in an aerospace machine shop environment.

• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.

• Proficiency using inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, comparators, and similar equipment.

• Ability to hold tight tolerances and maintain consistent quality.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work.

Work Schedule Options

1st Shift
Monday–Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

4-Day Workweek
Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Weekend Shift
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 12-hour shifts
