El Centro De La Raza believes that our youth can change the world. Our programming for Latinx youth in King County expands identity development, leadership, and critical consciousness and engages parents. We are hiring two co‑directors to lead operations of the Youth Services Department. Expanding from elementary to youth adulthood, our program empowers students through the Echale Ganas mindset. This role will inspire a team of youth professionals to offer high‑quality direct services and apply that Echale Ganas spirit. Currently, the Youth Services Department houses ten programs supporting youth ages 10‑24, with expansion on the horizon. The Seattle‑based Co‑Director will supervise Middle School–High School programs: Roberto Maestas After School Program (SEA & FW), Youth J.O.B Readiness, Pa’lante Middle School, Eco‑caciques, and Echale Ganas Summer Institute. Each Co‑Director supervises seven full‑time staff, AmeriCorps members, university work‑studies, and volunteers in an applied ethnic studies framework. Essential Functions Supervise full‑time staff members, meeting weekly to provide coaching and guidance on program operations. Work from the Federal Way office at least once a week to support the development of Federal Way based programs. Lead the screening, interviewing, and hiring of youth services team members when needed. Provide evaluation and quality management of daily program operations. Supervise the following youth programs focused on middle school into high school: Roberto Maestas After School Program (SEA & FW), Youth J.O.B Readiness, Pa’lante Middle School, Eco‑caciques, Echale Ganas Summer Institute. In coordination with the Co‑Director and Associate Director, strategically plan all Youth Services programs to provide recommendations to the Executive Director. Develop diverse funding streams and long‑term plans to best support the mission and goals of the organization. Maintain processes for proper record‑keeping and internal financial controls related to the Youth Services Department. Collaborate with the Co‑Director to develop and monitor annual budgets, staffing plans, and cost estimates for supplies and projects. Review and approve purchase requests in alignment with budget needs. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to grantors/donors. Oversee monthly invoicing, approval of payment requests, reimbursements, and payroll management approval. Develop and foster new relationships and growth of new programming to continue the development of the youth services pipeline of support. Research grant opportunities and understand funder requirements. Draft and revise grant proposals with any additional supporting documents. Engage with contract monitors and district administrators to advocate for youth and family participants. Attend weekly program meetings with the Associate Director, Charlas, youth team meetings, department staff meetings, and approved program‑related meetings or trainings; facilitate and offer professional development as needed. Uphold technological knowledge and seek resources to support the team’s skillset. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Working Conditions Remote work eligible: 4 days in person and 1 work‑from‑home; Monday‑Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 6:30pm. Depending on programming needs, work from home may be ineligible for certain weeks. May require some local travel. ECDLR reserves the right to change any or all conditions under which this position is permitted to work remotely or withdraw permission to work remotely with or without advance notice. Basic Life insurance provided at no cost to employee; option to buy up for additional coverage. 401(k) plan with 5% employer contribution; eligible to participants after six months of employment; eligible for employer contribution after first year of employment. 12 days of sick/safe pay time each calendar year (accrued by pay period); eligible to take accrued leave after 90 days of employment. 15 days of vacation accrued by pay period; start accruing upon hire; eligible to take after six months of employment plus a floating holiday and birthday off. 9 days of paid holidays established by El Centro de la Raza + 6 days paid time off during the last week of December. Qualifications M.A. degree in Education, Political Science, Spanish, Ethnic Studies and 3 years of work experience in a non‑profit OR B.A. in Political Science, Spanish, Ethnic Studies, Educational Leadership, Theater Education and/or 6+ years of work experience. 8+ years of youth development experience or transferable skills teaching or facilitating groups. 3+ years of experience in grant writing. 3+ years of management experience. Demonstrated involvement and knowledge of Latina/o and diverse community issues and a proven record of involvement and knowledge of social justice issues or community organizing experience. Excellent oral, written and organizational communication skills. Bilingual English and Spanish. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Salesforce. Must have a car and a valid Washington driver’s license and show evidence of insurability. Skills & Technical Knowledge Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Zoom. Valid driver’s license required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate telephone, desktop or laptop computer.
