Managing storage hardware lifecycle and service growth from ensuring scale units are built with ideal hardware in both performance and functionality.As a developer on the Azure Storage Hardware team; you will work on varied tasks and projects - from working on the newest cloud hardware, development and implementation of testing scenarios, diagnostics, and implementation to accommodate our ever-changing platform and offerings.Azure Storage Hardware team is a fast-paced team that just likes to get stuff done. ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for the developer or engineer that wants to grow and excel, those who seek out challenges and always willing to take on the next new project. This role is perfect for someone who loves to solve in depth complex problems across the scale of the cloud. We focus on the infrastructure and hardware health of the entire fleet of Azure Storage, this role is a focus on the new designs coming to the fleet.Job Responsibilities include:Identifying impactful hardware events on new hardware landing in the datacenterEnsure the systems are operating as expected through new telemetry implementationEnsure all components are up to date with the latest approved versionsDrive and implement test requirements to predict and prevent failure in production environmentsWork both independently and collaboratively with internal and external teamsQualificationsBasic Qualifications: 3+ years development 1+ year(s) system integrationPreferred Qualifications: 5+ years C++ dev experience3+ years systems deployment and integrationInfrastructure health monitoring and automationSystems Engineering experience in a distributed remote environmentWindows kernel debugging experienceHardware debugging experienceServer hardware telemetry experienceExperience with delivering and driving Root Cause AnalysisAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
