Somerset Hills Montessori School is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Aftercare Teacher to join our team and help create a warm, safe, and joyful afternoon experience for our preschool children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for preschool children during aftercare hours.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment.
• Support children during free-choice activities, outdoor play, art, books, puzzles, and other age-appropriate activities.
• Encourage independence, kindness, cooperation, and positive social interactions.
• Assist children with snack time, bathroom routines, and cleanup as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom and play area.
• Communicate respectfully with children, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool or early childhood children preferred.
• A warm, patient, and positive attitude.
• Dependable, responsible, and able to work well with a team.
• Ability to create a calm and engaging environment for young children.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it.

Schedule

Part-time, afternoon aftercare hours.
The schedule from 2:30 pm to 5:30pm
