Job Summary To perform diversified duties in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Hybrid OR, assisting the cardiologist intra-procedurally, including preparation and positioning of patients, operation of x-ray equipment in radiological and fluoroscopic procedures, scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters according to policy. Must successfully complete corporate and department-specificskill validations and maintain core competencies. Core Competencies: The CVT will be competent to monitor and scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, intermediate and complex interventional cardiac procedures, STEMI, diagnostic and interventional arteriograms. Responsibilities also include STEMI on-call team coverage and precepting new or existing employees. The CVT Staff may progress to CVT Intermediate by completing skill validations and maintaining competencies to monitor and scrub 2 of 5 Additional Specialty Areas.
