Job Description
Job Title: Radiology Technician
Profession: Allied

Hours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience; trauma facility experience preferred.
License: BLS, ARRT-R
Certifications: Required certifications in relevant fields.
Must-Have: Experience with C-arm and EPIC.


Description:
The Radiology Technician will work in a high-volume setting.
The facility averages 350-400 patients per day.
There are multiple X-ray suites available.
Technicians will perform general X-ray imaging of head, neck, spine, extremities, abdomen, hands, feet, and chest.
Comfort with trauma patients is essential.
Portables will be performed at the bedside in various departments.
The role includes imaging for spinal, orthopedic, general surgery, neurology, and pediatric cases.
The facility is a teaching hospital, so exposure to high acuity patients is common.
The technician must be adaptable to rotate shift-by-shift among different areas such as Emergency Department, Operating Room, and Main.
Good communication skills and teamwork are strongly preferred.
The technician may be asked to precept x-ray students based on experience.
Support is available from a lead tech and supervisor 24/7.
There is an on-site team of radiologists and other radiology technicians.
The department operates with rapid response and code teams.
The facility uses EPIC as the electronic medical record system.
The equipment includes Shimadzu RadSpeed general rad room, Konica and Shimadzu portables, Philips C-arm, and GE O-arm.
There is no floating to other facilities; movement is limited to different areas of radiology.
Good teamwork and high clinical skill sets are expected in a fast-paced environment.
There are no weekend-to-weekday shift rotations, and holiday work is required only if it falls on a scheduled workday.
Shift schedules will adhere to the agreed contract terms.
