Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Newton Lower Falls, MA 02462 (Greater Boston area)
  
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Labor & Delivery RN
  
• Unit: 5 South - Labor & Delivery
  
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
  
• End Date: January 31, 2026
  
• Duration: 13-week contract
  
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3:00 AM – 3:30 PM), 3 shifts/week
  
• Hours per Week: 36
  
• Schedule: Every other weekend, rotating holidays
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
  
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  
• Ability to complete all facility onboarding requirements (orientation, medication exam, fit test, health screenings, background checks, references, skills checklist, education verification)
  
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
  

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit
  
• Monitor and assess patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
  
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
  
• Administer medications, IVs, and prescribed treatments
  
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care best practices
  
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and clinical standards
