Receive, review, and process daily customer orders for precast concrete products and environmental equipment. Coordinate daily delivery schedules utilizing company drivers, outside carriers, and LTL transportation providers. Collaborate with production, shipping, and quality control personnel to ensure products are manufactured, loaded, and delivered according to customer requirements. Monitor delivery schedules and adjust routes and priorities as operational needs change. Verify product quantities, delivery locations, shipping documentation, and customer specifications prior to dispatch. Organize customer orders by verifying pricing, promotions, product availability, and transportation compliance. Maintain inventory records, coordinate inventory movements, perform cycle counts as assigned, and assist with inventory forecasting, replenishment, and audit activities. Arrange shipments by confirming product availability and anticipating customer delivery needs. Monitor driver daily logs and electronic logging devices (ELDs) for completeness and compliance. Assist drivers by providing route information, GPS directions, delivery updates, and problem resolution. Communicate proactively with customers regarding delivery status, schedule changes, and order updates. Coordinate Will Call orders and assist customers with product pickups. Work closely with the Accounting Department to reconcile dispatch records, billing documentation, receivers, invoices, and inventory transactions. Maintain accurate dispatch records, shipping documentation, and transportation reports. Protect confidential pricing, customer, purchase order, and credit information. Coordinate incoming material receipts and verify purchase orders and ERP transactions for accuracy. Identify opportunities to improve dispatch efficiency and customer service. Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, DOT regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local laws. Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Knowledge of transportation scheduling and logistics operations. Working knowledge of DOT regulations and driver compliance requirements. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to establish positive working relationships across departments. Professional communication skills when interacting with customers, vendors, and employees. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to changing priorities . EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED. Minimum three (3) years of experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation coordination, or a related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn company software systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Preferred Experience in the construction, manufacturing, concrete, or trucking industry. DOT and transportation compliance experience. Experience working with transportation management or ERP systems SUPERVISION RECEIVED General Supervision: The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments. ( This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.) Stooping: Positions self to 90 degrees (This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.) Kneeling/Crouching: Position self to work on the floor Crawling: Moving about to general maintenance tasks, few feet Reaching: Grabbing things from a distance above or from the side Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward downward of outward. Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips. Physical Requirements Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
