Eligibility for a cancelled CHOC traveler to submit to Rady must be reviewed by Rady leadership. Float Requirements Candidates may be required to float within the hospital. NICU travelers may be required to float to satellite locations. NICU candidates must be willing to float to PICU, CTICU, and Med Surg within scope of practice. Mileage Reimbursement For NICU and HomeCare positions, travelers are reimbursed for mileage when driving to any location other than their assigned home base facility. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Reimbursement forms must be submitted within 30 days of floating and must include unit manager approval. Modules Modules are non-billable for RN and Allied travelers. Up to 10 hours of modules may be required. Modules are completed pre-start. Time spent completing modules does not count toward orientation hours. Module hours must be margined for in order to be paid. Module completion is recorded via transcripts. Transcripts confirm whether modules are completed but do not record time spent.
