Logistics Business AnalystThe Logistics Business Analyst plays a critical role in strengthening our supply chain and delivery performance by turning data into action. As our logistics operations continue to grow in scale and complexity, this role helps ensure we are operating efficiently, cost-effectively, and with a consistent focus on customer experience. This position partners closely with Operations, IT, and other cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, implement smarter processes, and support technology solutions that enable the business to perform at its best.The Logistics Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing logistics and supply chain processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing solutions that enhance efficiency, performance, and delivery outcomes. This role combines data analysis, process optimization, and project management, serving as a key liaison between logistics, business stakeholders, and technology teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve with business needs.Key Responsibilities:Process Optimization & AnalysisIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and delivery performanceUse data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks and recommend actionable solutionsDevelop, document, and promote adherence to standard operating procedures across logistics teamsPerformance Analytics & ReportingBuild and maintain dashboards tracking KPIs such as delivery times, cost efficiency, and error ratesProvide insights and reports to support strategic decision-makingConduct root-cause analysis for performance variances and recommend corrective actionsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with IT to develop and implement technology solutions supporting logistics objectivesCollaborate with operations, procurement, and finance to align logistics strategies with company goalsAct as a liaison between logistics, IT, and business teams to ensure smooth solution adoptionProject ManagementLead or support logistics-related projects from concept through implementationDevelop project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate resourcesTrack and communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholdersData Management & ComplianceEnsure accuracy and consistency of logistics dataMaintain compliance with import/export regulations and company policiesCreate documentation for system configurations, data flows, and process improvementsQualifications:Education & ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Computer Science or Equivalent: Master's Degree in AnalyticsMinimum of 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or business analysisExperience in product management or project management is a plusPractical logistics and operational experienceTechnical SkillsExpert in SQL, Excel, and SnowflakeExperience in Power BI, Python, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE or similar)Experience building analytics and complex reportsFamiliarity with logistics software solutions such as BuildPro or equivalentProfessional SkillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesClear communication and presentation skillsAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-based environmentComfortable making data-driven recommendations to senior leadershipStart-up experience, showing ownership a plusAdditional RequirementsAbility to manage time-sensitive logistics operations with a sense of urgency and ownershipWillingness to travel up to 30%Ability to work primarily in an office environment with occasional visits to active construction sites Hovnanian Enterprises , Inc.
