It specializes in the care of acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. This 34-bed unit is designed to deliver evidence-based, protocol-driven care. There is a strong focus on patient safety, rapid intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration. RN Responsibilities & Expectations: Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale. Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in real-time. Ensure compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, education, and care plans. Administer medications using BCMA standards, focusing on safety and accuracy. Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team, including providers, therapy, and case management. Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment. Maintain a constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and patient safety.
