Human Resources Expert

The Human Resources Expert at Target provides support to store leaders and team members by recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, training, compliance, and engagement initiatives. The role promotes a positive guest‑centric culture and helps keep the workforce highly available. Responsibilities Deliver an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by greeting, assisting, and thanking guests. Support team members and leaders by providing scheduling, training and continuous learning resources. Collaborate with the HR leader to anticipate talent and staffing needs for each area of the business. Lead recruiting efforts to help store leaders hire suitable candidates. Advise on scheduling systems, pay practices and compliance policies. Ensure compliance with Target safety, ethical conduct and health‑ and safety‑policies. Maintain a safe work environment and report hazards or concerns. Complete other duties as directed by business needs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional HR or business coursework is preferred. Experience with scheduling software and workforce‑management programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm in a fast‑moving environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping times. Ability to lift up to 44 pounds and maintain mobility throughout shifts. Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic technology devices. Benefits Competitive pay range: $15.75‑$23.65 per hour.
