Music Director

We are seeking a passionate and spirit-led Music Director who is dedicated to supporting the worship experience at Fearless Love Church. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Praise and Worship Leader to create an atmosphere of worship that reflects the heart of the church. This role is ideal for a skilled musician who values a flexible schedule and thrives in a collaborative, family-friendly environment. Job Title: Music Director Location: Fearless Love Church, Greensboro, NC Employment Type: Part-Time (Contract) Key Responsibilities Lead worship on their instrument during weekly services, ensuring music aligns with the church’s theological standards and overall vision. Work closely with the Praise and Worship Leader, who is responsible for song selection and the vocal team, to execute the musical direction for services. Provide support in developing and mentoring a small team of volunteer/paid musicians, focusing on musical excellence and spiritual growth. Assist in coordinating and running rehearsals in collaboration with the Praise and Worship Leader, ensuring they are concise and efficient. Support the Praise and Worship Leader in arranging music as needed for a cohesive worship experience. Collaborate with the media team to ensure music is integrated seamlessly with multimedia presentations and livestreams. Be available for additional services or special events as needed (e.g., holiday services, conferences) within the agreed-upon schedule. Weekly Responsibilities Lead one musician rehearsal per week to prepare the band for the upcoming service. Lead worship for an average of one song and one service each week, ensuring a spiritually enriching and engaging experience for the congregation. Qualifications Strong instrumentation skills, with the ability to confidently lead worship from their instrument. Previous experience as a worship leader, music director, or musician in a church setting preferred. Ability to play in multiple keys; proficiency in all keys is a bonus. Ability to improvise and understand the number system for effective communication with other musicians. Understanding and agreement with Fearless Love Church’s theological beliefs and worship philosophy. Ability to work collaboratively with other leaders, musicians, and church staff, especially in supporting the Praise and Worship Leader’s vision and direction. Strong communication and organizational skills for effective rehearsal coordination and worship service preparation. A heart for discipleship, with a desire to mentor and support volunteer musicians.
