Part Time 3rd Shift Grocery Stock Clerk

Job Overview Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop. Responsibilities include processing/packaging/stocking products according to grocery standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. Qualifications At least 18 years of age. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to present information effectively to customers, vendors, and associates. Skills Exceptional interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and complete required training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales. Mathematical skills: add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement. Reasoning ability: apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Certificates, licenses, registrations: complete company training including new hire orientation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge. Physical Demands The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, handling items, reaching with hands and arms, speaking, hearing, tasting or smelling, occasionally climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and reach from 6-72 inches. Specific vision requirements include close vision, color, and depth perception. Work Environment The work environment includes frequent exposure to wet, hot, or cold conditions and moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate.
