A California hospital is seeking their next Interim Director of Pharmacy!

The Position

• An Interim Director of Pharmacy is needed to provide operational and clinical leadership across two hospital pharmacy departments, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality medication management services.
• Key responsibilities include establishing consistency and integrity in addressing staff requests and operational needs, and delivering pharmacy education and coaching to address knowledge gaps and strengthen clinical performance.
• The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting. They should be clinically savvy, as some direct patient care may be required.
• Must be kind and compassionate while also capable of holding staff accountable and maintaining high professional standards.
• Must be available to start within 23 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• California BOP license is required.
• Recent California inpatient experience is required.
• Active BLS certification is required.

Compensation Details

• Compensation Range: $180,000 to $185,000 annually.
• The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
• The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
