Your role at a glance Key Roles and Responsibilities: Ensure that all employees, clients, vendors, and visitors on company property have proper company‑issued identification. Patrol assigned posts on foot to maintain visibility and observe possible unusual activity. Ensure that the client, its associates, and NTT Data Centre personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment. Investigate, address if possible, and report security, maintenance, and safety conditions. Maintain daily administrative documentation concise and complete at all times. Maintain assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition. Assist personnel with requests. Complete various company or client assignments as required. Assist with Shipping and Receiving tasks. Respond to emergencies—coordinate with local emergency management resources. Investigate and report fires, evacuations, hazardous situations, and other facility‑related events. Maintain familiarity of Security procedures and policies in addition to Company policies. Participate in investigations involving security‑related accidents/incidents, interview witnesses, complaints, and victims, and gather and preserve property. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Schedule: Wednesday 1 am – 7 pm; Thursday – Saturday 7 pm – 7 am. Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Strong observational and surveillance skills, with the ability to detect and respond to security threats or breaches effectively. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules. Ability to remain calm in an emergency. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients, vendors, and co‑workers. Ability to work in a rigorous process‑driven team environment. Ability to logically analyze and solve problems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task. Ability to work with a flexible schedule as required. Strong team player with the ability to follow instructions, adhere to security procedures, and work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and reliability in fulfilling security responsibilities. Comfortable working in a highly critical, highly confidential, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities. Ability to respond to emergency situations at the data centre. Willingness to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and as part of on‑call protocol. Academic Qualifications and Certifications High School diploma or GED required. Additional education or training in security‑related fields is a plus. Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Security Guard (CSG) or Certified Protection Officer (CPO). CPR/First Aid Certification (obtainable within six months of employment). Required Experience Basic experience with standard methods, practices, tools and equipment for the security team. Basic experience in security roles, preferably in a data centre or similar environment. Basic experience in the administration and operation of access control systems, CCTV systems with digital recording, and photo ID systems preferred. Compensation Pay Range This position requires onsite work at a data centre facility and may require use of a personal mobile device. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover expenses incurred for using a personal device, if applicable. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base salary for this position is $18.90 – $23.60 and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with local state and federal “Wage and Hour” requirements. All regular full‑time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
