Psychiatrist - Addiction Services

Provider Careers at NYC Health + Hospitals: We are recruiting a Psychiatrist - Addiction Services for the South Brooklyn Health Addiction Services outpatient clinic and opioid treatment program. Opportunity Details Provide clinical care for patients in the outpatient addiction clinic and opioid treatment program. Diagnose substance use disorders and non‑substance related addiction disorders and recommend treatment that considers levels of care criteria. Assist medical leadership with Quality Assurance and Process Improvement projects as needed. Teach and train fellows, residents, and medical students rotating on addiction services, and prepare didactic presentations as needed. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (required). Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry (preferred). Active New York State Medical License. Wages and Benefits Annual Base Salary: $267,900* (board eligible); $278,200* (board certified) based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per‑diem hours. Estimated annual total value of the compensation package: $438,690** (board eligible) and $450,020** (board certified), including salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per‑diem hours, and other factors. Estimated compensation for 10 additional sessional/per-diem hours per week: $104,000***. Projected bonus up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent on meeting quality and productivity targets. 401(k) Company Contribution: Employees immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings; no employee match required. After one year of service, additional 7% company contribution; no employee match required. Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement.
