We are seeking a Nurse Manager who is passionate about providing high quality, patient-centered primary healthcare and collaborating with a kind team of professionals.About the Role:As a Nurse Manager you'll use your critical thinking, good judgement, and interpersonal skills to identify solutions or approaches to patient problems. You'll collaborate with clinical staff to design and implement meaningful and individualized patient-centered care.Responsibilities include:Build relationships with providers and advocate for the needs of providers and nursing teamsSupervise and develop nursing staffParticipate in hiring and training nursing staffAssure nursing staff are cross trained in more than one departmentWith the support of all clinical leadership, hold staff accountable for the highest level of consistency possible within the nursing department and site level clinical mattersCoordinate clinical and non-clinical staff activities for a high quality, efficient, compassionate experience for every patientAssure nursing staff reviews and understands nursing guidelines, policies and proceduresCollaborate with director of nursing to manage compliance of infection control and OSHA policies and proceduresManage site audits from nursing supervisors of CLIA labs, medication rooms, autoclave, clean and soiled utility roomCollaborate with provider scheduler to ensure distribution of nursing schedulesManage issues related to medical supplies, including vaccinations, purchasing, charges for services, handling, storage, and proper technique trainingServe as super user on EHR and other digital platformsReview staffing to providers per session, and assign nursing staff accordinglyRead and interpret 3rd next available appointment reportAssure nursing and clinical staff understand and abide by patient scheduling protocols including open-access schedulingPrepare a monthly nursing report for nursing and clinical leadershipParticipate in QA committee workIdentify short-term and long-range issues, recommend courses of action, and implement directivesAssist in development of annual budgets for nursing and non-clinical departmentsAttends trainings and meetings for professional developmentYour primary location will be in Buffalo, NY and you will travel to all Neighborhood sites in Western New York as needed.What it's Like to Work at Neighborhood:The top three words employees say describe the work environment are: teamwork, supportive, kind.
