Emser Tile is the largest privately‑held designer and marketer of tile and natural stone in the United States, with a national branch network and a fast‑growing digital footprint. We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing digital team and own the daily execution that keeps our digital channels performing. Reports to: Director of Digital Marketing EXPERIENCE: 1–3 years in digital marketing, eCommerce, or web operations
THE ROLE:
You will be the person who keeps Emser.com and our supporting digital properties running, reporting on performance, and executing across SEO, email, web operations, and retailer location management. You will work directly with the Director of Digital Marketing on a roadmap that includes B2B eCommerce growth, D2C expansion, lead generation, and omnichannel integration. While this is fundamentally an execution role, you will participate in strategic planning sessions, contribute to roadmap discussions, and have visibility into how decisions get made.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Day‑to‑day content updates on Emser.com and supporting digital properties — product detail pages, landing pages, new collection launches, banners, and seasonal campaigns. Quality assurance across pages: links, images, copy accuracy, mobile rendering, and load performance. Coordinate with Marketing, Product, and Creative on launch calendars and timelines. Reporting & Analytics Build and maintain monthly performance dashboards across web, email, SEO, and paid channels. Pull and analyze data from GA4, Search Console, and CRM platforms to surface insights and recommendations. Track KPIs against targets and flag anomalies — both wins and risks — to the Director of Digital Marketing. Web Operations Manage and maintain feeds and ensure product data integrity across digital surfaces. Own branch hours, contact info, and location data accuracy on Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Maps, and supporting business directories. Maintain business listings hygiene across the branch network. Maintain the retailer locator on Emser.com — accurate addresses, hours, and assortment data for partner retailers nationwide. Coordinate with sales operations to onboard new retailers and remove inactive ones. Improve local SEO performance for branch and retailer locations. Manage the email marketing database — list hygiene, suppression management, and audience segmentation across consumer, trade, and B2B audiences. Build and QA email campaigns in our marketing automation platform — set up segments, templates, A/B tests, and deployment. Support the buildout of lifecycle and nurture journeys SEO Execution Execute on‑page SEO: meta tags, schema markup, internal linking, image optimization, and structured data. Run technical SEO audits and partner with development on fixes. Write and brief SEO‑driven content — category pages, application pages, evergreen articles — in collaboration with the content team. Monitor rankings, organic performance, and competitor visibility in Search Console and third‑party SEO tools. Strategic Contribution Participate in quarterly roadmap and planning sessions — bring data, surface opportunities, and weigh in on prioritization. Represent digital in cross‑functional initiatives across Marketing, Sales, IT, and Branch Operations. Identify gaps and propose new initiatives — the best ideas in this role come from the person closest to the day‑to‑day. Build the analytical foundation that informs strategic decisions: cohort views, channel attribution, segment‑level performance.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YEAR ONE
By 30 days: You know the digital stack, the team, and the roadmap. You are running the weekly QA pass on Emser.com and have taken full ownership of the monthly reporting dashboard. By 90 days: You own business listings hygiene end‑to‑end, you are executing the SEO backlog independently, and email segmentation is meaningfully cleaner than when you arrived. You are contributing to monthly digital reviews with insights, not just data. By 6 months: You are the go‑to person for daily digital execution. You proactively surface issues, propose fixes, and handle them.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1–3 years of hands‑on experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, or web operations — agency or in‑house. Working knowledge of GA4 and Google Search Console — you can pull a report, segment it, and explain what it means. Experience with at least one enterprise CMS (Optimizely strongly preferred; Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, Drupal, or similar also acceptable). Hands‑on experience with at least one marketing automation or CRM platform — Oracle Eloqua, Zoho CRM, Marketo, Pardot, or similar enterprise platform. Familiarity with Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms — you understand product data, collections, and basic merchandising. Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals — on‑page, technical, and content. Strong attention to detail. You catch things others miss. Excellent written communication — your reports and emails are clear, scannable, and decision‑ready. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.NICE TO HAVE
Experience in a manufacturer, distributor, or B2B‑to‑B2C business with a branch or dealer network. Working knowledge of HTML / CSS — enough to make small fixes without waiting on development. Experience managing Google Business Profile or local SEO at scale (multiple locations). Familiarity with SEO tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Screaming Frog.
