Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Eastern Star Home, a premier provider of healthcare services in Oriskany, NY. Responsibilities:

• Provide routine, daily nursing care to assigned residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as ambulating, transferring, and positioning residents

• Monitor and report changes in resident condition, including vital signs, and respond to call bells promptly

• Maintain confidentiality and respect residents' privacy at all times

• Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to established infection control practices and following safety protocols

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans

• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding residents as needed

• Provide emotional support and comfort to residents, families, and colleagues

• Participate in ongoing education and training to expand knowledge and skills

Expectations:

• Report to work on time and ready to work at the start of the shift

• Provide proper notification when late or absent

• Demonstrate reliability and flexibility when on-call

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to established protocols

• Reflect commitment to building a supportive work environment and maintain a positive attitude

• Perform related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform lifting, bending, and stretching without limitations

• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods

• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
