Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU/Internal Float Pool position requiring a GA or Compact RN license and 18 months of recent experience.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Internal Float Pool assignment covering ICU and ED border patients within specialty,
• May float between two facilities as needed, with primary need at the main facility,
• Staff are notified in advance of their assigned location each shift,
• 12-hour AM shifts,
• 13-week contract length,
• No on-call responsibilities,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required in hand,
• Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience required,
• CVOR RN candidates must have 18 months of full-time CVOR experience within the last 3 years at similar acuity,
• CVOR candidates must have strong endovascular experience and proficiency (rated 3-4) in cardiac and vascular procedures,

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to ICU and ED border patients within assigned specialty,
• Float between facilities as needed based on daily staffing requirements,
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted,
• Floating assignments are limited to a 15-mile radius within specialty,
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility,
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront at the start of the assignment,
• Time off requests not falling on or near a holiday are limited to a maximum of 5 days,
• Time off requests falling on or near a holiday are limited to a maximum of 3 days, with only one holiday request allowed per assignment
