About the Role:

As a Custodial Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning and maintenance of our facilities. You may required to lead a team of other custodians to ensure that all areas are kept clean, safe, and well-maintained. Your main goal is to provide a clean and comfortable environment for our employees and visitors. You will report to the Custodial Supervisor and work closely with other departments to ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for long periods of time, and work in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in custodial or janitorial work
• At least 2 years of experience in custodial or janitorial work
• Experience in supervisory and training staff
• Experience in a lead or supervisory role
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train custodial staff to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
• Implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Perform regular inspections to ensure that all areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet safety standards
• Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Communicate with other departments to coordinate cleaning activities & room setups and address any issues or concerns

Skills:

As a Custodial Lead, you will use your knowledge of cleaning chemicals and procedures to ensure that our facilities are clean and safe. You will also use your supervisory and training skills to lead a team of custodians. In addition, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with other departments and address any issues or concerns. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.
