WhatYou'llDo

AstheSeniorBuyer,you ' llplayacriticalroleinkeepingmanufacturingoperationsrunningefficientlybysourcingmaterials,negotiatingwithvendors,andensuringproductsarriveontimeandwithinbudget.

Responsibilitiesinclude:

Managetheprocurementofrawmaterials,components,fabricatedparts,andproductionsupplies
Developandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithdomesticsupplierswhileidentifyingnewsourcingopportunities
PrepareRFQs,evaluatesupplierproposals,andnegotiatepricing,leadtimes,freightterms,andcontracts
Issueandmanagepurchaseorderswhileensuringaccuracyofpricing,quantities,anddeliveryschedules
PartnerwithEngineering,Production,Shipping,andQualitytosupportmanufacturingschedules
Resolvesuppliershortages,expeditecriticalmaterials,andproactivelyaddresssupplychaindisruptions
Analyzepurchasingdataandsupplierperformancetoidentifycostsavingsandprocessimprovements
Monitorinventorylevelsandpurchasingtrendstosupportoperationalefficiency
SupportERP- drivenpurchasingprocessesandcontinuousimprovementinitiatives
Serveasakeycontributorindrivingsupplieraccountability,quality,andlong -termpartnerships

WhatWe'reLookingFor

3+yearsofpurchasing,procurement,orbuyingexperiencewithinamanufacturingenvironment
Experiencepurchasingmanufacturedcomponents,machinedparts,rawmaterials,castings,fabrication,MRO,orsimilarindustrialproducts
Strongnegotiationskillswithaproventrackrecordofreducingcostsandimprovingsupplierperformance
Experience working within ERP/MRP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, JobBoss, etc.)
StrongExcelandMicrosoftOfficeskills
Abilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesinafast - pacedmanufacturingenvironment
Excellentcommunication,organization,andfollow -upskills
Associate' sdegreeorequivalentindustryexperience
