About the Role:

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, order, and a welcoming environment within residential or commercial settings. This position ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently, contributing to the overall comfort and satisfaction of occupants or guests. The Housekeeper is responsible for following detailed instructions and adhering to safety and hygiene standards to uphold the highest quality of service. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively to complete tasks within designated schedules. Ultimately, the Housekeeper’s efforts directly impact the reputation and operational success of the facility by creating a clean, safe, and pleasant atmosphere.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand instructions and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including reaching overhead and handling equipment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Basic mathematical skills to perform measurements and calculations related to cleaning tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience in residential, hospitality, or commercial settings.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and use of specialized cleaning equipment.
• Certification in cleaning safety or related training programs.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Follow oral and written instructions to complete cleaning assignments accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cleaning equipment and supplies with manual dexterity, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
• Reach overhead and other difficult areas to clean ceilings, vents, and high surfaces safely.
• Perform basic mathematical computations to measure cleaning solutions and manage inventory of supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established standards.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning activities.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily cleaning goals in a fast-paced environment.
