Medical Science Liaison

Field-based Medical Science Liaison role at Becton Dickinson focused on plastic and reconstructive surgery. Responsibilities include developing stakeholder engagement strategies, managing KOL relationships across multiple regions, and providing scientific expertise to cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Align medical strategy and objectives with cross-functional partners across medical, clinical, marketing, and regulatory teams
- Identify and map stakeholders including KOLs, surgeons, HCPs, and payers; develop personalized engagement plans
- Design and execute coordinated educational initiatives through advisory boards, congresses, symposia, and digital platforms
- Collect and communicate stakeholder insights to internal teams, refining medical strategy and supporting leadership decisions
- Track engagement activities against benchmarks and maintain compliance with ethical standards separating scientific engagement from promotion
Requirements
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA, RN) preferred
- 3-5 years field-based MSL experience and/or clinical plastic surgery work experience
- Plastic and reconstructive surgery background in industry or clinical setting required
- Strong expertise in medical affairs, KOL engagement, and surgical innovation landscape
- Knowledge of US healthcare system, clinical trial design, and regulatory environment
- Ability to interpret clinical and pre-clinical data with excellent presentation skills
- 60-80% travel capability including overnight and weekend stays
