Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult oncology-medical-surgical patients on a telemetry unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care; administer medications and IV therapies; manage oxygen delivery; respond to rapid responses and codes as part of the rapid-response team.
• Document thoroughly in EPIC; maintain accurate assessments, care plans, and progress notes; communicate with the interdisciplinary team (IV team, PT, RT, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, transport, unit secretary, interpretation services).
• Adhere to infection control practices and isolation precautions; monitor telemetry via CMU; manage equipment and supplies; prepare for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Float within the pod as needed; participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care across patients and care teams.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Washington
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; oncology experience required
• BLS certification; Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred; first-time travelers accepted
• Proficiency with EPIC charting; telemetry monitoring experience
• Availability for 3x12 Night shifts; weekend coverage; ability to float within the pod
• Two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years; ability to complete pre-start modules
