Material Handler

Description:
The Material Handler is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and production operations by safely receiving, moving, storing, and handling materials throughout the facility. This position requires a reliable, safety-conscious individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to be trained in multiple areas of the operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Receive, move, stage, and store materials, ingredients, supplies, and finished products as needed.
* Assist with material handling activities to support warehouse and production operations.
* Load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently throughout designated areas.
* Verify materials and products against receiving or other applicable documentation for accuracy.
* Maintain proper organization and storage of materials in assigned areas.
* Follow established procedures for material handling, storage, rotation, and inventory control.
* Operate material-handling equipment as authorized and trained.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
* Follow all company safety, food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
* Participate in required training and cross-training across multiple areas of the operation.
* Communicate material shortages, damaged products, discrepancies, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
* Work cooperatively with warehouse, production, quality, and other departments as needed.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
* 0-2 years of warehouse, material handling, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
* Reliable and dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
* Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as required based on company and operational needs.
* Willingness to learn new processes, participate in training, and accept constructive feedback.
* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established procedures.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
* Forklift certification or willingness to become forklift certified is preferred.
* Must demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety, food safety, quality, and company policies.
