Structural Engineer

Position: Structural Engineer in Syracuse, NY Salary: Depends on experience Structural Engineer Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our growing engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of building projects, collaborating with experienced professionals to develop efficient, safe, and cost-effective structural designs. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop effective structural design solutions for a variety of building projects. Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations for structural systems. Create and maintain structural computer models using industry-standard software. Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, and technical documentation. Coordinate and oversee the preparation of structural construction drawings and specifications. Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting project schedules and deadlines. Provide technical support throughout the design and construction process. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience. Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam is required. Experience with structural analysis and design software. Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD. Strong technical writing skills for engineering reports and project documentation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field. Experience designing a variety of commercial, residential, institutional, or industrial structures. Knowledge of applicable building codes and engineering standards.
