This position serves as a critical link between providers, insurance payors, and patientshelping ensure that all referrals and pre-authorizations are handled quickly, accurately, and with compassion./ppYoull manage incoming and outgoing referral requests, verify insurance eligibility, follow up on pending authorizations, and respond to communications from the scheduling team, call center, and other clinic staff. This role plays a vital part in reducing patient delays, improving provider workflows, and enhancing the overall experience of care./ph3Day-to-Day Responsibilities/h3h4Referral Management/h4ulliVerify patient insurance eligibility for procedures and consultations/liliSubmit and track referral requests through pre-authorization channels/liliFollow up weekly on pending referrals and communicate with external providers as needed/liliProcess and fax incoming/outgoing referral documentation/li/ulh4Communication Coordination/h4ulliRespond to referral-related calls and messages from the call center and clinic schedulers/liliManage email communications across multiple departments and document updates in EMR/liliWork closely with team members in scheduling, billing, and the business office/li/ulh4Administrative Support/h4ulliParticipate in monthly bookkeeping meetings/liliProvide general backup support to the Business Office/liliAnswer business office phone lines and assist with other tasks as assigned/li/ulh3What Youll Need to Succeed/h3h4Minimum Qualifications/h4ulli1 year of experience in healthcare or medical billing preferred/liliStrong knowledge of health insurance processes and referral workflows/liliProficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook/liliAbility to use basic office equipment (computer, fax, printer, phone)/liliExcellent communication, follow-up, and documentation skills/li/ulh4Preferred Qualities/h4ulliExperience with EMR and referral tracking systems/liliStrong attention to detail and organizational skills/liliEmpathy, patience, and a customer-service mindset/liliSelf-motivated, able to manage priorities in a remote setting/li/ulh3Work Environment/h3ulliSchedule: Full-time, MondayFriday, daytime hours/liliLocation: 100% remote; must reside in Washington state./liliTeam Structure: Reports to Business Office Supervisor; collaborates with schedulers, medical assistants, nurses, and providers/li/ulh3Join Our Team/h3pIf youre detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about delivering exceptional care behind the scenes, we want to hear from you!
