Service Technician

This in-house Technician role focuses on building and repairing hot runner systems for plastic injection machinery within a modern facility. You will work using your mechanical aptitude, tooling experience, and blueprint reading skills to assemble, troubleshoot, and restore complex equipment to optimal performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Build new hot runner systems for plastic injection machinery using detailed prints, hand tools, and power tools
• Repair existing hot runner systems by locating the original prints, disassembling components, and diagnosing issues with manifolds, nozzles, controllers, and related parts
• Assess job requirements by evaluating the current product condition to determine the appropriate repair approach
• Perform all services according to established service protocols and quality standards
• Reassemble equipment with precision, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and function of all components
• Test repaired products to verify satisfactory performance and confirm that all issues have been resolved
• Document work performed as required and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders about repair status

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in tool building, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to tear equipment down and accurately reassemble it
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings
• Hands-on experience with assembly, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a production or service environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
