Job Title: Rehabilitation Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN certification Certifications: BLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Floor nursing experience Description: Client Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The hospital is accredited and recognized for quality rehabilitation services. Designed to promote recuperation outside the traditional hospital setting, it incorporates many unique features. There is a specialized brain injury unit with monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, and dedicated therapy space. A dedicated stroke care unit is equipped with specialized equipment. The facility includes gymnasiums featuring high-tech therapy devices and treatments. Patients are accommodated in private, family-friendly rooms with sleeper chairs. A special apartment is available for patients and families to practice daily living tasks. Pet therapy and other recreational programs are offered. An outdoor healing garden and walking trail assist in the rehabilitation process. The unit has a capacity of 60 beds with a patient ratio of 7:1. Equipment includes workstations on wheels and patient lifts. The electronic health record systems used are EPIC and UDS. Supervision is provided by a Chief Nursing Officer. The patient population is primarily adult. Preferred skills and experience in rehabilitation nursing are advantageous.
