Step into a pivotal role as a Paraprofessional / Education Assistant supporting an inclusive PK-6 environment for the 26-27 school year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact alongside dedicated educators, working with students with a range of disabilities. You'll provide both behavior and mobility support, fostering an accessible and encouraging classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive. The assignment begins September 2nd, with preparation and collaboration at the core of your daily work.

Desired Background and Experience:

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional or in a classroom support role, especially within PK-6 settings
• Confidence supporting students with various disabilities, including providing both behavior intervention and mobility assistance
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to partner with teachers, therapists, and other staff
• Patience, adaptability, and passion for helping young learners achieve their goals
• Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries when supporting students and families

What You’ll Do:

• Assist lead teachers with instructional tasks, classroom management, and student engagement
• Provide one-on-one and small-group academic, behavioral, and mobility support as outlined in student plans
• Monitor student progress, document observations, and relay information to the educational team
• Help create a safe, respectful, and active learning environment where each student feels empowered
• Support classroom routines, participation in enrichment activities, and smooth transitions throughout the school day
