We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn contribute and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$16.90 - $17.00 per hour

Summary:
The host or hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests at the club responsible for creating a positive and welcoming experience. This role involves greeting and seating members and guests managing reservations and coordinating with other staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations.

Schedule:

• Must be available to work Friday evenings Saturdays and Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcomes members and guests upon arrival.

• Provides information about the club such as specials.

• Manages the seating chart to optimize table turnover and balance server workload.

• Escorts guests to their tables and presents menus.

• Takes and confirms reservations by phone or through an online reservation system.

• Maintains an organized reservation book and updates it as needed.

• Communicates effectively with servers kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service.

• Handles member and guest inquiries requests and concerns professionally.

• Keeps the waiting area clean and organized.

• Monitors and manages member and guest wait times.

• Relays special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen.

• Works with servers to accommodate large parties and special events.

• Ensures menus are clean and in good condition.

• Keeps the host stand well-stocked with necessary supplies.

• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.
• Neat and professional appearance.

Physical Requirements:

• May be required to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
