We are seeking a Dean of Nursing who is up to the challenge of building on to an already special program and taking it to the next level. If you would like to learn more about the Space Coast of Florida please go to: The Dean of Nursing is responsible for leading, developing, implementing and expanding the College’s Nursing Program. This position provides administrative oversight and stewarding of annual grants/gifts. The Dean is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive and consistent community outreach with regional healthcare leaders and organizations and building positive and effective relationships with nursing faculty. The Dean reports directly to the AVP for Academic Affairs to support and promote the quality of student learning and success. Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in nursing field (Doctorate or equivalent preferred). Must hold a current/active RN license. (Exception: Out of state applicants must obtain Florida Licensing within 6 months after hire). Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license required. (Exception: Out of state applicants must obtain Florida Driver’s License within 6 months after hire). This position will require successful fingerprinting and substance screening. The candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fees (currently $36.00/$65.15). The fingerprinting and substance screening fees are non-refundable. For out of state applicants, HR staff can assist applicants with local services to provide fingerprints versus traveling to Florida for that purpose Excellent Communications and Managerial Skills. Three or more years of teaching experience at the collegiate level (Preferred).
