Travel Neuro ICU Registered Nurse - $1,430 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU – Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We’re looking for Intensive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Dallas, TX. The right nurse should have 1‑2 years recent acute care experience. Responsibilities Evaluate and monitor patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting Provide direct care to patients in life‑threatening situations, documenting and providing physician‑directed care Assess and implement patient care plans, delegating to other care providers as appropriate Provide education and support to patient families, possibly for long‑term care needs Provide basic bedside care Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment Order and evaluate diagnostic tests Take samples for lab work, order corresponding lab work and interpret reports Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret and record electronic displays Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing Communicate patients’ conditions to family members Physical Requirements Stand and walk for long periods of time, bent, lean, and stoop without difficulty Easily lift 20 pounds; may need to lift up to 50 pounds at times Potential hazardous exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases; treat patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative Qualifications ACLS, BLS, 1 year Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment 1–2 years recent acute care experience Benefits Weekly pay Guaranteed hours Continuing education 401(k) retirement plan Sick pay Wellness and fitness programs Referral bonus Employee assistance programs Medical benefits Dental benefits Vision benefits Benefits start day 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr TNAA TotalMed RN
