IT Support / Junior Systems Administrator

A growing organization is currently looking to hire an IT Support / Junior Systems Administrator for a hybrid contract engagement. This role focuses on end-user support, workplace technology administration, identity and access management, and day-to-day IT operations across a Windows-centric environment. The position will support employees in both on-site and remote settings while helping maintain core business systems including Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, endpoint devices, and user access processes. The contractor will assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, technical troubleshooting, asset management, documentation, and security hygiene initiatives, while gaining exposure to system administration, endpoint management, networking, and infrastructure support. Contract Duration : 6 months Required Skills & Experience 1-2 years of professional IT support, Help Desk, or junior systems administration experience Experience supporting Windows laptops and desktops Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, peripheral, and connectivity issues Experience or strong familiarity with Google Workspace administration Knowledge of Slack and Notion administration fundamentals Understanding of IAM concepts including account provisioning, MFA, least privilege, and access management Strong customer service and communication skills Experience documenting processes and maintaining technical documentation Ability to support onboarding and offboarding activities Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Desired Skills & Experience Experience supporting macOS environments Basic Linux knowledge Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Google Apps Script Exposure to endpoint management tools such as Intune, Jamf, or MDM platforms Understanding of Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic networking concepts Experience with backup validation and disaster recovery procedures Exposure to SSO integrations, conditional access, or privileged access management Experience evaluating or implementing productivity and security tools What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown 40% IT Support & Endpoint Administration 30% Google Workspace, Slack & Notion Administration 20% Identity & Access Management 10% Security, Networking & Infrastructure Support Daily Responsibilities 60% End User Support & Troubleshooting 20% System Administration & User Management 10% Documentation, Asset Management & Process Updates 10% Security Support, Monitoring & Operational Tasks #J-18808-Ljbffr Motion Recruitment Partners LLC
