Weber Art Gallery Monitor - FWS Division: CAS Department: Art Experience: Entry-level Job Code: FWSARTGALLERY Supervisor/Reports To: Petra Carroll Start Date: 8/24/2026 Gallery Monitors support operations in the Weber Art Gallery by greeting visitors, managing exhibits, and assisting with events. Ideal for students interested in art, event coordination, and public engagement. Responsibilities And Career Competencies Work pre-determined shifts and maintain attendance and punctuality – P Notify supervisor in advance if unable to keep assigned schedule – C, P, T, TW Assist with artist meetings, exhibit installations, and event prep – C, TW, P, CT, L Work independently and welcome gallery visitors – C, CT, CTR, P Explain artwork care and model appropriate gallery behavior – C, P, CT, L Support event planning, public relations, and gallery events – C, TW, P, CT, L Complete office tasks for art faculty as needed – C, TW, P, CT, L, T Competencies/Skills: Communication (C), Teamwork (TW), Professionalism (P), Career & Self Development (CSD), Critical Thinking (CT), Community Transformation (CTR), Leadership (L), Technology (T) Preferred Skills: Attention to detail, strong active listening abilities, strong written & verbal communication, customer focused, willingness to learn new things, reliable and responsible. Work Schedule: Monday–Friday: Varies depending on workload. Saturday & Sunday: Closed. Priority during open hours and special events. Work Conditions: Normal office environment. Physical Demands: Reaching/handling, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
