This growth has allowed us to continually expand our workforce. The Company operates out of several facilities, including two transfer stations. Priority Waste maintains a diversified platform providing service to both municipal solid-waste, construction and demolition customers. Through our yellow fleet of residential, roll off, and front load trucks and containers, Priority Waste makes the customer experience our #1 priority.Job PurposeIn your role as a Roll Off Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a roll off truck and ancillary equipment on assigned route to haul solid waste/recycling debris from large, high volume industrial/construction customers, as well as residential and commercial customers.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to:Performs pre and post trip inspections of truckOperates truck in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal lawsMounts and dismounts a heavy-duty truck many times each dayCompletes assigned route daily, leaving the customers location free of debrisProfessionally communicates with customers as neededNotifies Route Manager/Dispatch of any accidents, injuries, property damage, or any other incidentsNotifies Route Manager/Dispatch of any service interruptions such as closed lots, blocked containers, safety hazards etcIdentifies and reports all containers in need of repair/replacementAttends training programs, briefings, and meetings as requiredCommunicates customer requests to Route Manager/DispatchImmediately communicates mechanical problems to Mechanic and SupervisorMaintains cleanliness of vehicleMaintains professional appearanceQualificationsThe successful candidate profile includes:Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL1-year experience operating a roll off truck preferred1-year experience in solid waste industry preferredHigh school diploma or GED preferredMust be able to pass criminal background check, physical and DOT drug screenMust have safe driving record, including no avoidable accidents in the past five yearsMust have ability to communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal customer serviceMust be able to lift up to 75 poundsMay be required to work in emergency situationsAt Priority Waste, there are fundamental qualities that we look for in all our employees:People who excel in a collaborative environment (team players)A willingness to do whatever the situation calls forAn excitement to be part of a growing organizationA genuine understanding that the quality of your work has a direct impact on the company's success
