Position Summary Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, the Administrative Finance Compliance Analyst for Student Programming Activities (SPA) serves as the senior fiscal leader responsible for the financial stewardship, compliance oversight, and budgetary planning of student-initiated programs. This position ensures responsible administration and equitable distribution of more than $2.5 million annually in student fees, referenda funds, and university allocations supporting student outreach and retention initiatives, for the Student Programming Activities. The Administrator provides strategic financial leadership; develops internal controls; ensures compliance with federal, state, UC, and UCLA policies; and serves as the primary fiscal liaison to the SOLE Operations Manager for SPA regarding funding allocations, reconciliation, and compliance standards and assists in coaching and advising Student Program Advisors who work directly with students to support funding requests, purchasing, and disbursement processes, ensuring strong fiscal stewardship across all SPA programs. The primary emphasis for the Administrator is fiscal governance, budget management, compliance, and financial strategy. This position serves as the staff committee liaison and works directly with the Operations Manager of Student Programming Activities (SPA). Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications Experience in business administration. (Required) knowledge of administrative operations, organizational practices, and business processes sufficient to develop, implement, and evaluate procedures that support efficient, compliant, and effective program administration. Demonstrated capacity to independently resolve complex administrative and fiscal issues. Ability to coordinate logistics, timelines, and workflows for divisional initiatives. (Required) Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply federal, state, UC, UCOP, and UCLA policies, procedures, and guidelines to complex administrative and financial situations and provide guidance to stakeholders. (Required) Advanced knowledge of budget development, forecasting, financial analysis, and resource management principles, with the ability to develop recommendations and support strategic decision-making. (Required) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently assess operational and fiscal issues, identify risks, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions. (Required) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to prepare reports, executive briefings, and policy guidance, and effectively collaborate with students, staff, faculty, administrators, and external partners. (Required) Strong compliance oversight ability. Ability to ensure adherence to federal, state, UC, and campus regulations, including audit readiness. (Required) Ability to develop and deliver training on budgeting, compliance, and administrative processes. (Required) Knowledge of record retention, restricted document handling, and secure data management. (Required) Commitment to transparent, equitable funding practices aligned with referenda requirements. (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
