Marketing Lead

The Role We're looking for a Marketing and Communications Lead to own how the world understands and talks about Cap. You'll drive our marketing strategy and execution end-to-end, from messaging and campaigns to agency management. Cap is an early stage startup and this is a hands on role. You will have high agency to craft your role and influence our direction. Additionally, you will participate in the upside of Cap’s growth. Responsibilities Set marketing strategy and budget priorities Track KPIs such as X analytics and site traffic and evolve the strategy based on results Build out the marketing team as it grows Partner with leadership on crisis/reactive comms Own Cap's core messaging (one-liners, pitch, explanations) and keep it current as the product evolves Decide how Cap talks about itself across different audiences (crypto-native, TradFi, general public) Final edits on all external copy (site, decks, social, campaigns) to ensure the brand stays consistent, and all copy is grammatically correct Speaking Engagements and Communications Own the relationship with our third-party PR agency day-to-day (run check-ins, drive the agenda) Brief spokespeople before podcasts/panels so messaging stays consistent Maintain a simple "message house" (approved stats, claims, things to avoid) Debrief after major appearances and fold learnings back in Partner with leadership on crisis/reactive comms Keep agency supplied with current messaging Track agency deliverables through to completion Judge whether coverage actually lands on-brand; call the shots on scope/renewal Campaigns Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns that reinforce positioning ,educate the market and help Cap define and own market segments Tailor campaigns by audience segment rather than one generic message Own an always-on, low-lift content cadence to keep Cap visible Grow owned channels (X, LinkedIn, blog) Manage creation of all related assets Qualifications 3+ years in marketing, with real ownership of brand messaging/positioning Genuinely creative; can take a complex, technical product and turn it into something simple and compelling for a mainstream audience Experience managing an external PR or comms agency, not just receiving updates from one Some fluency in financial concepts like interest rates and AUM. No expertise in crypto required.
