Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services. This role supports plasma center operations, determines donor eligibility, manages donor adverse events, reviews laboratory test results, and collaborates with the Center Manager, Assistant Manager, and Center Physician. Scheduling Requirement This position requires participation in a rotating weekend schedule. Candidates must be available to work assigned weekends as part of the regular shift rotation. How you will contribute Determine donor eligibility, including management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies, including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues. Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance. When authorized by EHS, serve as a Pandemic Coordinator and support investigations of pandemic threats within the local community. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. State license or certification where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT‑Paramedic. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completed FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of clinical or hospital experience. Benefits Hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44 (subject to experience, qualifications, and location). Eligibility for short‑term incentives and a 401(k) plan with company match.
