Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) – Contract
Location: California, 95490
Contract Dates: April 27, 2026 – July 26, 2026 (13 weeks )
Pay: $1,914 – $2,149/week
Day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (3x12s, variable schedule)
No call required
Every other weekend coverage
Float required between Ukiah and Howard
Provide basic and critical respiratory care across ED, ICU, and med-surg/tele units
Manage ventilated patients and ensure ventilator/VAP bundle compliance
Administer oxygen, aerosol therapy, and obtain ABGs per protocol
Perform pulmonary function testing and assist with bronchoscopy/special procedures
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
Document all patient care, therapies, and charges in Cerner
Educate patients, families, and clinical staff on respiratory care
Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
Minimum 2 years respiratory therapy experience required
BLS required
ACLS required
NRP required
Critical care and OB experience preferred
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferred
Facility size: 25 beds (4 ICU, remainder med-surg/tele)
Staffing: 1 RT per shift
EMR: Cerner | Medication system: Omnicell
Communication: SBAR
Scrubs: Any color (no RTO preferred)
Hospitalist coverage 24/7; intensivist via telehealth
