Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Selector – Reach Truck Operator

Job Description

This role focuses on accurately selecting, moving, and staging products within a high-throughput, temperature-controlled warehouse. You operate reach trucks and other material-handling equipment to support shipping and receiving activities in a modern cold-chain facility that provides freezer, cooler, and ambient storage for major food and distribution clients.

Responsibilities

• Operate a reach truck (Crown brand) to safely move, stack, and retrieve pallets in a high-volume warehouse environment.
• Perform order selecting by accurately picking products according to pick tickets or system instructions.
• Use an electric pallet jack to transport pallets and materials throughout the facility.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by loading and unloading trailers and staging product in designated areas.
• Assist with inventory tasks, including counting, verifying, and organizing stock to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Prepare orders for shipment by packing, wrapping, and securing product on pallets as needed.
• Follow all equipment operation procedures and safety guidelines while working in freezer, cooler, and ambient areas.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and accuracy targets in a high-throughput logistics environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including aisles, docks, and storage locations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve issues quickly.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience operating a reach truck, specifically Crown brand equipment, in a warehouse setting.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse operations such as selecting, picking, packing, unloading, and inventory handling.
• Ability to operate material-handling equipment safely, including reach trucks, pallet jacks, and related warehouse equipment.
• Comfort working in a freezer environment at approximately 5&degree;F and other temperature-controlled areas.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order selection and inventory handling.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and move product for the duration of the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating an electric pallet jack is a strong plus.
• Experience in high-throughput or large-scale distribution warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with basic inventory processes such as counting and verification.
• Experience working in multi-temperature or cold storage facilities.

Work Environment

You work in a multi-temperature, high-throughput cold storage facility that includes freezer, cooler, and ambient areas. The freezer environment operates at approximately 5&degree;F, and some facilities may range from -20&degree;F to 55&degree;F depending on configuration. The role follows a Monday through Thursday schedule starting at 4:30 AM and continues until work is completed for the day. You regularly operate Crown reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment on concrete warehouse floors, moving between storage aisles, loading docks, and staging areas. The environment is fast-paced and production-oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety and proper use of personal protective equipment suitable for cold conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ormond Beach, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Ormond Beach,FL.
