Medical Assistant – New Graduates Welcome

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. New graduates are encouraged to apply! This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Medical Assistant graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a supportive primary care environment.

The Medical Assistant will work closely with our healthcare providers to assist with patient care, clinical procedures, and the day-to-day flow of the medical office.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet patients and provide a professional, welcoming experience
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and reason for visit
• Prepare and room patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers during examinations and minor office procedures
• Perform EKGs, blood glucose testing, urinalysis, and other point-of-care testing as directed
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection when trained and permitted
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider and within scope of practice
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain appropriate medical suppliesThis position provides an excellent opportunity to develop clinical skills while gaining valuable experience working directly with experienced healthcare providers.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and patient-care areas according to infection-control standards
• Assist with prescription requests, referrals, laboratory results, and patient follow-up under provider direction
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
• Answer patient questions and communicate messages to the clinical team
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
• Assist with front-office duties when needed
• Work collaboratively with providers and other team members to maintain efficient patient flow

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program
• New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
• Medical Assistant certification preferred but may not be required
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs, and clinical procedures
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Professional, dependable, organized, and willing to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
