Job SummaryThe Adjunct Instructor Business Office Management has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, teaching accounting courses and completing all duties associated with teaching. Assigned classes may occur during the day, evening, and/or online with varying teaching locations including on-campus, dual enrollment, and Early College High School. This position reports to LSCPA's Business and Industrial Technology Department.Duties/ResponsibilitiesProvide quality instructionExhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectivesAttend faculty meetingsMaintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trendsRespond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional mannerComply with campus policies and proceduresOther related duties, as assignedMinimum/Preferred QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Associate's degree in Office Administration or Business-related field, from a regionally accredited college or universityFour (4) years of experience in the fieldWork independently in the classroomProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointPossess great time management and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Blackboard or other computerized teaching systemsTeaching experience in higher educationTeaching experience at a two-year collegeSupplemental InformationPhysical Requirements: Duties may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment or materials up to 25 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity are required to ensure effective instruction and safe supervision of students in classroom and/or laboratory settings. Work Hours: Flexible, part-time; depending upon class schedule.
